So, I have this little problem...

....but I kinda like it. No, I just plain love it.

I'm a book-a-holic. Obsessed with a good story. This also leads to me loving movies mucho too.

Is anyone else in love with someecards.com? It really just fits perfectly with my dry, sarcastic humor. If you are living under an internet rock, here are some examples:

Oh look! One of my biggest pet peeves!!

Seriously people, it really is not that difficult.

Just in case you were unaware.

And finally, the one that speaks to my heart. I was knee deep in this problem over the last two days. One of my new favorite authors, Deborah Harkness, had a lovely new book released on Tuesday. The first in her trilogy is "A Discovery of Witches" (ADOW), and if you have not read it yet, go buy it, NOW. You will not be able to stop. Vampires, witches, daemons, Oxford, and steamy, swoon-worthy tension between the two main characters. I swooned, I swooned much. Also, I majorly geeked out on the history. So anyways, the NEW novel, "Shadow of Night" (SON) came out on Tuesday! I couldn't wait, ADOW ended with not so much a cliffhanger but a standing-on-the-top-of-the-moon-and-contemplating-the-dropoff-to-Earth-hanger. Plans were made, everyone went to carry out their part, and Bam! we stop. I knew that SON was going to be great and filled with even MORE historical geekiness because of the ending of ADOW. I also knew that since Harkness is a genius at suspense and intrigue, that I'd be on the edge of my seat (or bed, or couch, or floor) until I finished. What I did not expect was to love it even MORE than the first. As a reader I was able to step into another world (as I always do with a good book), but the immersion this time was fantastic. One of my favorite plot devices is to marry fantasy/fiction with real historical events/people. Harkness does it exceedingly well. Oh. And there is swoonage. MAJOR swoonage. Like, the kinda of steamy swoonage that makes you grin and squeal and shout "FINALLY!" in you living room at 3am. This book owned my life for about 36 hours. I literally only stopped reading to eat, sleep, and pee. Oh I showered once too. Sometimes I just find it completely impossible to turn away from a story until I have reached its end. This was one of those times. If you are looking for a new and awesome tale, check it out. Diana is a kick ass woman with major academic chops and Matthew is the sexiest vampire since Brad Pitt and actually does something worthwhile with his time.

Here's the website for this awesome author! My New Favorite Author It has MUCH better story descriptions than I do. ;)
